Anyone can produce a program at Arlington Independent Media! If you have an idea for community programming, you can make it happen using our facilities and equipment. With access to modern technology, help from a huge base of trained and experienced volunteers, and guidance from our expert staff, volunteer producers create local, community-based programs of every genre and style. Check out some of the current programs created by our volunteer producers. Every point of view is welcomed, and AIM fosters creative ideas and a plan to bring those ideas to fruition. AIM producers have the opportunity to network with fellow members, recruit volunteers, and develop their ideas through ongoing collaborative meetings with staff and other producers.

We have a few simple guidelines for our volunteer producers:

All producers are required to be current members of AIM
All producers must take the Introduction to Community Media class
All producers must be certified through one or more of our Basic Classes
All producer programming must be intended first and foremost for airing on the AIM cable channels, Comcast 69 and Verizon 38 (with the exception of audio programs)
