Planning Your Short Film: A Newcomer's Guide

So, you've written a short screenplay, or have at least been kicking around a brilliant idea for one. ...But what comes next? In six quick and easy interactive Zoom sessions, filmmaker and AIM alum Julie Haberstick will walk you through the short film process from soup to nuts.
You'll learn about fundraising and budgeting, and get a sense of the essential crew roles. You'll also learn how to get the most value out of fundamental production documents like shot lists and call sheets. Finally, you'll learn about distribution, and the different ways to get your film out into the world! Classes are held weekly on Tuesday evenings over Zoom, beginning Tuesday, May 31st. Following the final July 5th class, we'll hold a happy hour at AIM so you can network with your classmates and start planning your next project!
Cost: $60 (only $10 per session!)
