Movie Making Camp - Session 1
AIM's youth media camps teach skills that transform young prople from passive consumers of media to active creators of media. Our camps not only gives kids the technical and creative skills needed to produce video, but also shows them how to look at media differently.
AIM’s Movie Making Camp is for youth ages 9-13. Working together with the guidance of specialized instructors and media professionals, participants will develop a story idea, write a script, shoot footage, and edit their own short production. In the process, they will be introduced to the basic concepts of media literacy and critical thinking.
We offer two sessions during the summer, each one is limited to nine participants. Each camp session lasts for 10 days, and runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
All camps take place at AIM's facility, located at 2701-C Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA.
