Youth Video Production Camp

youth video production

At AIM, we want to change the way youth relate to media. We teach skills that transform youth from passive consumers of media to active creators of media.  Our Video Production Camp not only gives kids the technical and creative skills needed to produce video, but it shows them how to look at media differently.  Video Production Camp is for youth ages 9-13. Working together, with the guidance of specialized instructors and media professionals, participants develop a story idea, write a script, shoot footage, and edit their own short production.  In the process, they are introduced to the basic concepts of media literacy and critical thinking.

Video Production Camp runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM and each session is limited to 9 participants. Camp takes place at AIM's facility at 2701-C Wilson Boulevard in Arlington, VA.
