Digital Still Photography

AIM’s Digital Still Photography master class combines shooting fieldtrips with demonstrations, exercises, assignments, and critiques to help students explore the many technical and aesthetic aspects of digital image making. This hands-on workshop will help you get the most out of your camera and take the pictures you've always wanted. Instructor Jason Horowitz covers a wide array of topics ranging from digital camera types and how to choose among them to the basics of color, composition, correct exposure technique, creative use of flash, and digital workflow.

About the Instructor:

Jason Horowitz has been a professional commercial and fine arts photographer for more than 25 years. He holds a BA in Photography from George Washington University and a MFA in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University.  He has taught on both the high school and university levels holding adjunct faculty positions at Georgetown University, Virginia Commonwealth University, Marymount University, Maryland College of Art and Design and Corcoran College of Art.  Jason's commercial work has been published worldwide and his fine art is part of the permanent collections of the Corcoran Gallery of Art and George Washington University, in addition to many individual and corporate collections.
