This hands-on course is designed to teach participants to fully control the technical and aesthetic elements of camera work. Explore camera controls and settings in-depth and learn the "tricks of the trade" that get you the results you want, even under challenging conditions. Effective camera movement and shot selection, use of focus, depth of field, lighting and camera movement are among the areas covered in this practical class.
About the Instructor:
Nate Clapp holds an MA in film and video from American University and has worked professionally in the DC area's film and video industry for over 20 years. Nate is a member of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, has worked in the camera department on many large features such as Runaway Bride, The Recruit and Liberty Heights, and has also worked on a wide variety of documentaries, commercials, and television series including Homicide: Life on the Street, K Street, The Wire, and The West Wing.
