Suitable for beginners as well as those with previous video experience, this 4 session, in-person course covers basic video production concepts and technologies, as well as the use of cameras, lighting, and audio equipment. Bring your own video camera, DSLR, or smartphone, or borrow one from AIM for workshop sessions – this class is about concepts universal to all cameras, not about specific capture devices. During this course, students will learn video terminology and cover topics such as lighting set-up, audio recording, shot composition, camera movement, best production practices, and more.
