Please help us welcome Patrick McCleary as AIM's new Content Coordinator. Patrick has worked with AIM part-time over the summer, but he will officially join us on the day of our Annual Meeting, Sept 28. He has also volunteered on several members' programs, including The Nations Capital Sports Show.

Watch AIM's coverage of Guillotine Theatre with Dead Men's Hollow, performing Civil War Songs & Letters. This was shot with our newest mobile fly-pack equipment. Here, actors bring to life real letters and diary entries of Civil War experiences, ranging from a farmer who was a conscientious objector, an Alexandria teenager who recorded events throughout the conflict, to an African-American soldier writing to his enslaved daughters.

Our recent Field Production class made a short video about The Dream Project, an Arlington non-profit that encourages and supports promising immigrant youth in their pursuit of higher education through mentoring, scholarships, advocacy, and community outreach.

We have just been awarded Overall Excellence in Public Access in the 2014 Hometown Media competition. This marks the ninth time in 24 years that AIM has received this prestigious prize. “We are pleased and honored to win this award, which recognizes the outstanding work of our staff and volunteers,” AIM executive director Paul LeValley said.
