Advanced Camera Technique (19-B)


Explore camera controls and settings while learning the "tricks of the trade" that get you the results you want, even under challenging conditions. Topics include: Effective camera movement and shot selection, use of focus, depth of field, and lighting. 

Instructor, Nate Clapp holds an MA in film and video from American University and has worked professionally in the DC area's film and video industry for over 25 years. Nate is a member of The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, has worked in the camera department on many large features such as Runaway Bride, The Recruit and Liberty Heights, and has also worked on a wide variety of documentaries, commercials and television series including Homicide, Life on the Street, K Street, The Wire, and West Wing.
