Arlington Independent Media on Sept. 27 celebrated the end of nine months of construction, showcasing their renovated facilities with a community celebration.
“We’ve created here a studio that will be, and a facility that will be, way more useful for our members,” said Paul LeValley, the long-time head of the public-access station, which is seen on both the Comcast and Verizon cable systems.
“We’ve made a much more useful space,” LeValley said. “It took us 10 years to have the money to do this, but I think in the end it’s going to be a real asset.”
An updated studio, new editing bays, a green room and classroom space are all part of the renovation, which took place as the AIM staff stayed in the facility, located just off Wilson Boulevard in Clarendon.
